RipeBanana provides Amazon inventory-intelligence software for sellers. This policy explains what data we collect when you use our website and application, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using RipeBanana you agree to the practices described here.

Account data: your name, email address, and authentication credentials when you register.

Product data you provide: supplier lists, ASINs, and the marketplaces you choose to track.

Usage data: pages viewed, features used, and device/browser information collected to operate and improve the service.

Billing data: handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.

To match your products to Amazon listings, track marketplace inventory, and compute ripeness, profitability, and opportunity signals.

To provide, secure, and improve the service, and to communicate with you about your account.

To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

RipeBanana observes publicly available marketplace information (such as listings, pricing, and seller-stock signals) to build inventory history. This data is aggregated to power the product and is not tied to your personal identity.

The RipeBanana browser extension measures per-seller stock on Amazon product pages using your own browser session (the same “add to cart” mechanism Amazon exposes) — entirely on your device, with no proxies or server-side scraping. No Amazon account or sign-in is required. It cleans up any cart line it adds while measuring.

When contribution is enabled (on by default, with an opt-out in the extension’s settings), each measurement is sent to RipeBanana: the ASIN, marketplace, and per-seller price, condition, fulfilment, quantity, and timestamp, plus an anonymous per-install device key (and your account id only if you connect an account).

Opening a product page also shares the offer list the page itself loads — who is selling and at what price. This carries no extra request to Amazon: the page fetches that list either way.

Measuring stock is different, because it touches your cart. It now runs automatically when you open a product page rather than on a click. Sellers are measured one at a time with a pause between them, each cart line is removed immediately afterwards, and the same listing is not measured again for 30 minutes. You can switch this off in the extension settings, which stops both the measuring and the sharing.

On Amazon search and category pages the extension sends us the ASINs shown on screen, so it can badge results you already track and show a rough sales estimate for the rest. It sends only those product identifiers — never your search terms, and never anything about you.

The extension never transmits your Amazon credentials, cookies, cart contents, or any other personal Amazon account data. Measurements are public market facts used to build aggregate inventory history.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run RipeBanana (hosting, analytics, payments) under contractual confidentiality, or when required by law.

We keep account and product data for as long as your account is active, and as needed to comply with legal obligations. You can request deletion of your account at any time.

Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@ripebanana.io.

Authentication uses httpOnly cookies and credentials are never exposed to the browser. We apply industry-standard safeguards, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date below, and where appropriate we will notify you.
